Meet Jessica

FAMILY PHOTO.jpg

Jessica Guerrero was born and raised in Anaheim and is a proud graduate of Anaheim public schools, including Horace Mann Elementary, Sycamore Junior High, and Anaheim High School. A first-generation college student, Jessica earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from CSU Fullerton, and was the first in her family to attend graduate school, earning a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from UC Irvine.

Jessica was elected to the AUHSD Board of Trustees in 2022, making history as the first Latina representing Area 1, a district where more than 70% of students are Latino. Through her leadership, she has strengthened community collaboration to address food insecurity, expanded 21st-century learning opportunities through student internships, and supported student safety by partnering with nonprofits and first responders.

Today, Jessica works in local government for the County of Orange, where she continues to advocate for her community through educational initiatives such as backpack and school supply drives, food distributions, and community resource fairs. She also leads an internship program dedicated to mentoring the next generation of public service leaders.

Her professional experience also includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at UC Irvine, where she advised and supported university students. Jessica is proud to serve the community that shaped her into who she is today.

Her family are proud, longtime Anaheim residents and fellow graduates of Anaheim public schools. Her father has been a dedicated AUHSD classified employee for more than 15 years.
